After the debut of 2XKO on gaming consoles at the beginning of the current month, Riot Games has disclosed the complete competitive gaming schedule for the fighting game genre (FGC) title for the year 2026.

The professional circuit, officially named the 2XKO Competitive Series, is set to feature five primary competitions and 15 Challenger-tier tournaments, with all events receiving sponsorship from Riot and collaboration with community-based organizers.

Subsequent to their revelation

In contrast to the preliminary announcement made in December, Riot Games chose to cease organizing competitions according to in-game seasons, having decreased their total from five to three. As stated by the game’s publisher, this modification was implemented to enhance the framework’s adaptability.

Significant Tournaments for 2XKO in the Year 2026

The competitive calendar is slated to commence with the inaugural Major event of the year, Frosty Faustings XVIII, scheduled to be held in Illinois, United States, between January 29th and February 1st. This competition, attracting 962 contenders, will offer a collective prize fund of $50,000 (approximately £36,973), to be distributed among the leading 24 participants.

Subsequent to Frosty Faustings, the ensuing trio of significant competitions will be presented by EVO, beginning with a Japanese leg from May 1st to 3rd, then continuing with EVO Vegas toward the conclusion of June, and concluding with EVO France around mid-October.

The final premier competition for the year 2026 is scheduled to be the Battle Coliseum, occurring in São Paulo, Brazil, from November 20th through November 22nd.

Challenger Competitions to Occur in Intervals Between Key Tournaments

The initial Challenger competition is slated for Genesis X3 (GX3) in San Jose, California, prior to shifting to the Texas Showdown at the close of March. Beyond the United States, tournaments are also planned for Austria, Australia, France, the United Kingdom, Canada, Brazil, and Puerto Rico.

Out of a total of 15 competitions projected for the entire year, Riot Games has thus far disclosed 11, with an additional four anticipated to be announced sometime later, based on information from a Riot Games statement. Enrollment is presently available for certain designated tournaments.
