Autosport Retro: My Favourite F1 Season & Honourable Mentions

The Autosport Nostalgia Broadcast outlet has presented a sequence titled ‘The F1 Year I Cherish Most’.

This has featured Autosport’s Head Honcho, Kevin Turner, in conversation with various media personalities to examine the F1 term they enjoyed most – exemplified by Karun Chandhok discussing the 1997 season.

Nine seasons were explored thoroughly, but for the concluding, tenth edition, Kevin, endurance racing specialist Gary Watkins, and F1 journalist Stuart Codling assess the years that just missed being selected.

Reference is made to contemporary classics such as 2021, despite its divisive conclusion, stretching back to 1958 and the global championship that eluded Stirling Moss when competing against Mike Hawthorn.

The 1979 season also comes up, covering the contest involving Jody Schekter and Gilles Villeneuve, while Kevin also ponders the factors defining a memorable F1 season.
