The competitive structure named Project Night Shift is ready to start its first official Marvel Rivals showdown, presenting leading teams from both the European and North American regions.

In a design echoing the Rivals Fight Night format, Shift #1 signals the start of a recurrent weekly series where the most skilled esports groups will compete, beginning on September 4th, 2025 at 16:00 PM EST.

The upcoming contests will be supported by gaming hardware vendors Intel Gaming and MSI, two notable brands invested in the esports community.

What is the Operational Structure of Project Night Shift?

In alignment with previous Rivals Fight Night editions, the event will have distinct European and North American brackets. A total of six teams will participate, encompassing both fresh participants like Chopped and prominent teams such as 100 Thieves.

Within each region, there will be an opening match, where two teams battle to secure a spot in the final round. The victorious team will then challenge the defending champion from the prior week. As it is the initial event, the defending champions are the top two finishers from the Ignite Mid Season Finals.

The following matches are formally arranged for Project Night Shift #1:

  • Europe
    • Chopped vs Al Qadsiah
    • Team1 vs Challnger (TBD)
  • North America
    • 100 Thieves vs FlyQuest
    • ENVY vs Challenger (TBD)

Currently, specifics of the prize funds remain undisclosed. Nonetheless, all matches will be streamed live on the Project Night Shift’s official channels on YouTube and Twitch.

Preliminary Look at Night Shift #1

The squads attracting the most attention are certainly the victor and runner-up of the Mid Season Finals, Team1 (Europe) and ENVY (North America).

Team1 distinguished itself in the major held in China by introducing unexpected strategies, notably by using uncommon characters such as Jeff the Landshark to gain a victory. It remains to be seen if Team1 possesses any further surprises, especially in the aftermath of the Season 3.5 update.

ENVY showed great strength throughout the Mid Season Finals, ultimately losing only in the Grand Finals to RAD EU (Team1). During the event, ENVY triumphed over 100 Thieves with a 3-0 score in the Upper Bracket Finals, thus becoming the team to defeat. Consequently, fans are keenly observing if 100 Thieves will proceed to the finals for a possible rematch, aiming either to avenge their earlier defeat or once again face a one-sided loss.
