Caitlin Clark, the Indiana Fever’s guard, has plans to be present at another LPGA Tour gathering later this year, following her enjoyment at The Annika last year.
The Fever’s All-Star guard is scheduled to take part in the LPGA Tour pro-am competition at Pelican Golf Club, situated in Belleair, Florida, during November 12-16, as made public by tournament representatives on Thursday. The Annika tournament will be hosted by Annika Sorenstam, a World Golf and LPGA Hall of Fame golfer. Being the last regular-season event with a full field for the 2025 campaign, it boasts a prize pool of $3.25 million.
Clark stated, “Last November, I had a wonderful time at The Annika, playing in the pro-am alongside Nelly Korda and Annika Sorenstam, two of the top players in the sport. It’s an honor to be an ambassador for Gainbridge, a company dedicated to advancing women’s sports. I’m eager to return to Tampa this November to participate in the Pro-Am with the world’s best female golfers.”
Clark’s second WNBA season was cut short after only 13 games due to a groin injury (among other issues she encountered) sustained on July 15. The Fever had just concluded a streak of three consecutive victories when Clark was sidelined, yet they managed to finish the season at 24-20 and secure a postseason berth despite her absence. Fans of Clark and the WNBA will be pleased to see her participating again, even if it’s not on the basketball court.
Sorenstam mentioned, “It was a privilege to participate in the pro-am with Caitlin last year. The audience was fantastic, and we’re excited to have her return to The Annika in November. She brought a unique dynamic to our event, and her enthusiasm for golf and competitive spirit were enjoyable to witness firsthand. I’m looking forward to welcoming her back and continuing to expose the younger generation to the amazing sport of golf.”
Despite the premature conclusion of Clark’s 2025 season, she still earned a spot on her second consecutive All-Star team, with averages of 16.5 points, 8.8 assists (her career best), 5 rebounds, and 1.6 steals (another career high).
