DeMarcus Cousins Sells Las Vegas Mansion for $7.5 Million

Reports indicate that NBA center DeMarcus Cousins has finalized the sale of his expansive 10-bedroom estate in Las Vegas for $7.5 million.

TMZ Sports reported on Saturday that Cousins, who acquired the property in 2017 for $6.5 million, managed to secure a $1 million profit in just four years from the sale.

The residence is equipped with a private movie theater, a full basketball court, a dedicated sports viewing area, a personal fitness room, and a custom-designed outdoor swimming facility. Additionally, it contains twelve bathrooms and an internal elevator system.

Cousins became an unrestricted free agent after his release by the Houston Rockets toward the end of February.

Kevin O’Connor of The Ringer disclosed in early March that the Los Angeles Lakers would express interest in “Boogie” should they fail to secure Andre Drummond, who reached a contract buyout with the Cleveland Cavaliers on Friday after no trade agreement materialized before Thursday’s NBA deadline.

Once Drummond commits to a new squad, the market for Cousins is expected to intensify, as he represents an experienced center capable of reinforcing teams for the remainder of the 2020-21 season.

The 30-year-old product from the University of Kentucky has amassed career averages of 20.8 points, 10.7 rebounds, and 1.2 blocks over 590 professional basketball contests. However, he was unable to replicate that level of performance during his 25 games with Houston, averaging 9.6 points and 7.6 rebounds in what was the most diminished role of his career.
