
Blizzard Entertainment announced during the ‘State of Azeroth‘ presentation that it plans to conduct an event called Azeroth Interiors, which is a design competition focused on the World of Warcraft virtual home customization feature.
This contest is set to occur between February 17th and 24th, with live broadcasts available on the official YouTube and Twitch platforms.
Information shared on social media indicates that the invitational will feature six pairs of home design experts from various regions. Every team will comprise a ‘Homeowner’ and a ‘Builder’, who will collaborate to craft the most visually appealing interior space.
The event is structured into three distinct phases. The initial stage commences on February 17th, during which participating teams will collect concepts and inspirations, then present them on their individual Pinterest boards.
The subsequent phase is scheduled from February 19th to 21st, focusing on the teams’ execution of their conceptual designs.
The concluding phase is set for February 24th. During a live finale, Blizzard Entertainment, alongside a chosen panel of judges, will evaluate the finished constructions to determine the overall victor of the Azeroth Interiors invitational.
This isn’t Blizzard Entertainment’s inaugural venture into organizing a contest centered around World of Warcraft’s in-game dwelling system. A similar accommodation challenge occurred last year as part of the Creator Clash event at Gamescom, where four content creators competed to produce superior designs under time constraints.
Highlighting the State of Azeroth Event

The State of Azeroth live broadcast represented the initial installment of four featured events within the Blizzard Showcase, an anniversary celebration organized by developers to mark the brand’s 35th year.
This live stream unveiled numerous upcoming functionalities for the massively multiplayer online game. A notable addition is the ‘Ambassadors Program,’ designed to enable qualifying players to operate authorized partner Discord servers and gain advantages from Blizzard Entertainment. Furthermore, the official Discord server for World of Warcraft is slated for release on February 26th, 2026.
Blizzard Entertainment additionally disclosed the official 2026 development plan for both World of Warcraft and its Classic versions.
Key announcements feature the release of the Midnight expansion, introducing eight fresh dungeons, three new raids, an elevated level maximum, and other additions. The Classic Anniversary Edition will present raids in each phase, along with a new Arena season commencing this Autumn. Mists of Pandaria Classic is planned for two phases, with the Siege of Orgrimmar raid appearing in its fifth phase this summer.
