Hailey Van Lith’s Must-See Outfit for Sun Debut

On Friday, during the WNBA’s season opener featuring a trio of contests, Hailey Van Lith appeared in her first game for the Connecticut Sun.

Van Lith’s initial appearance as a Sun player followed her contract signing with the organization earlier on Wednesday. This move occurred after the Chicago Sky released the 5-foot-9 guard just prior to the start of the new season. The Connecticut team moved swiftly, securing the player, who was the 11th selection in the 2025 WNBA Draft, via the waiver process.

For Connecticut’s away game facing New York at Barclays Center on Friday, Van Lith arrived with a notable flair. The Sun’s official social media accounts subsequently shared an image showcasing the 24-year-old’s striking ensemble worn before the game.

“Urban style with HVL💧” was the accompanying caption from the team on X.

For her inaugural game with the Sun, Van Lith opted for an athletic street fashion aesthetic. This tailored, modern attire was consistent with the former TCU standout’s characteristic style, as she consistently captures notice with her sartorial choices.

Van Lith sported an Adidas jacket in a regal blue shade, layered over a pale blue top designed in a corset-like bustier fashion. The elegant sweetheart neckline provided a pleasing counterpoint to a striped necktie, which introduced a masculine element.

Her choice of trousers was exceedingly loose, pooling around her ankles. She refined her appearance with sharp white high heels, transforming the relaxed outfit into something resembling haute couture. The Sun’s guard completed her attire with a compact brown purse and her signature plaited blonde hairstyle.

In her inaugural game for Connecticut, Van Lith entered as a substitute. Within merely 14 minutes on the court, she recorded nine points, converting 4 of her 7 shot attempts, alongside one rebound, four assists, one steal, and one three-pointer.

Nevertheless, the Sun experienced a substantial defeat on the season’s opening evening. They were unable to contain Breanna Stewart (who amassed 31 points and 10 rebounds), whose efforts propelled the Liberty to a commanding 106-75 victory.

Van Lith and the Sun are scheduled to compete again on Sunday in their home venue against the Seattle Storm.
