Myles Lewis-Skelly, a midfielder for Arsenal, has been caught off guard by rumors connecting him to other English top-flight clubs.
An exclusive report from football.london suggested the Gunners were prepared to sell the youngster, revealing Chelsea’s keen interest in securing his signature.
However, despite the north London club recently wrapping up a deal for Bruno Guimaraes, those claims seem to be inaccurate.

A well-connected insider known as Hand of Arsenal—who has built a reputation for sharing accurate transfer updates and team sheets online—recently weighed in on the ongoing rumors surrounding the teenage midfielder.
“Skelly is completely dedicated to Arsenal,” the account posted on X (the platform formerly known as Twitter).
“The speculation today did not originate from the player’s camp whatsoever. In reality, they were left startled and perplexed by the rumors. The youngster is devoted to the club, even though external interest in signing him is genuine.”
The academy product initially burst into the senior setup during the 2023/24 campaign, filling in as a left-sided defender amid an injury crisis in the squad, before committing his long-term future to the club with a lucrative contract renewal last summer.
The initial phase of the previous campaign proved challenging for the young talent, who found himself behind Piero Hincapie and Riccardo Calafiori. However, after transitioning to a central midfield role, he eventually displaced Martin Zubimendi, playing an instrumental part in the final stretch of the season and earning a starting berth in the Champions League final against Paris Saint-Germain.
While the arrival of Bruno Guimaraes might restrict Lewis-Skelly’s playing time in the upcoming season, FourFourTwo reports that Mikel Arteta is keen to maintain healthy competition, planning to have four options for his central midfield pairing—with Rice, Guimaraes, Zubimendi, and Lewis-Skelly all competing for starts.
Additionally, the teenager’s adaptability to slot in at left-back has caught the attention of rivals Manchester United and Chelsea.
Given that the 19-year-old is a local academy graduate tied down to a long-term deal, the Gunners would demand a historic transfer fee should they decide to let him leave.
Meanwhile, another Hale End graduate, Ethan Nwaneri, is anticipated to seal a move away before the window closes, face-to-face with stiff competition for attacking spots from Bukayo Saka, Martin Odegaard, Noni Madueke, Eberechi Eze, and promising youngster Max Dowman.
