The esports collective, **Alliance**, based in Sweden, has revealed the addition of Jan ‘**akku**‘ Schneeberger to its competitive **Apex Legends** lineup.

Schneeberger is set to play alongside team captain John ‘**Hakis**‘ Håkansson and Andre ‘**Unlucky**‘ Türk, where they will participate for Alliance in the upcoming **Apex Legends Global Series** (ALGS) **Year 6** season.

Jan ‘akku’ Schneeberger is a veteran player in the Apex Legends professional circuit, having first appeared in competitions as early as 2023. He spent the most significant part of his career with the UK-based esports group Forbidden Gaming, and also briefly competed for MOUZ during 2025.

Prior to his move to Alliance, he was part of Gaimin Gladiators, competing in the **ALGS Year 5 Championship** held in Sapporo, Japan, where their squad finished 36th. During Year 5, akku also participated in the ALGS 2025 Open and achieved 34th place in the 2025 Midseason Playoffs as part of the **Esports World Cup**.

“Alliance stands apart from typical organizations; it’s a squad driven by the expectation of victory,” akku stated in his blog post. “I have followed Hakis and the crew for an extended period, and joining this pairing now represents a tremendous chance. My commitment is to work hard, achieve success, and remain a fixture here.”

Alliance has at last secured a new member to fill the spot left by Miron ‘**Effect**‘ Novikov, who moved to Aurora Gaming’s Apex Legends lineup back in February.

In a blog entry, **Pontus Bengtsson**, the **General Manager for Alliance**, commented: “Identifying a third player for this squad was not a choice we intended to make hastily. We sought an individual who not only possessed comparable in-game ability but also maintained composure during chaotic situations, which are common in battle royale games.

“After spending time with Akku at our headquarters last week and observing his synergy with both the staff and the team, it’s evident that we made the correct selection. There’s a palpable excitement, and we are eager to recommence our efforts.”

Alliance has been an active participant in Apex Legends professional competitions since 2019, coinciding with the initial launch of the ALGS circuit by EA and Respawn Entertainment.

While Alliance has not yet secured an ALGS Championship title, the squad has consistently achieved commendable outcomes throughout its history. During Year 1, they secured eighth place in the 2021 EMEA ALGS Championship, replicated an eighth-place finish in the Year 2 championship, and finished 19th in Year 3.

Their most significant achievement was securing the runner-up position in the Year 4 ALGS Championship, a tournament ultimately claimed by the unexpected victors, GoNext Esports. More recently, Alliance also earned a spot in the Year 5 Championship, where they finished 14th after advancing to the Finals stage.

Alliance now turns its attention to ALGS Year 6, with the ambition of returning to the championship stage. The team has received an invitation to the ALGS Split 1 Pro League for the EMEA region, where their objective will be to secure a playoff berth and accumulate essential Championship Points, crucial for participating in the ultimate tournament.
