For the first time in his career, he has reached the semi-finals of a Grand Slam tournament without conceding a set, becoming the youngest male player to achieve this feat since Rafael Nadal at the 2008 French Open.
The 25-year-old will next compete against either fourth-seeded Taylor Fritz or 24-time Grand Slam winner Novak Djokovic for a spot in the championship match.
