Carlos Alcaraz secured the Vienna Open title with a dominant straight-sets victory against Alex de Minaur, keeping his undefeated streak in ATP 500 tournaments intact for the season.
Taking just 87 minutes to claim a 6-1 6-4 victory, the second-seeded Spaniard notched his 16th consecutive win in this tournament category during 2026.
This extends Alcaraz’s unbeaten streak in ATP 500 competitions to 26 matches, an impressive stretch originating at the 2025 Barcelona Open following a defeat to Holger Rune.
Among the 23-year-old’s accomplishments during this season’s campaign are championship victories in both Tokyo and Doha.
“My goal was to dictate play and demonstrate that earning a victory against me required superior aggression, greater consistency, and sharper tactics,” Alcaraz explained.
“I feel incredibly pleased to have found my rhythm, performed at a high level, and experienced such an extraordinary and meaningful week overall.”
