The Alpine Formula 1 organization intends to host a season opening gathering in Barcelona on January 23, in close proximity to pre-season testing commencing at the Catalan circuit from January 26-30.
The racing group publicized the plan via a social media announcement that does not offer significant insights regarding the actual activities planned or if their anticipated 2026 model will be displayed. Sources suggest that only the external paint scheme will be presented.
Alpine will endeavor to optimize the benefits presented by F1’s updated technical directives in order to recover from their concluding position in the 2025 constructor’s competition, a situation unprecedented for the Enstone establishment in four decades.
The team intentionally decided to reallocate assets towards their 2026 undertaking relatively early, contributing in part to their weakened results during the current year.

“If improved performance results next year, I will disregard this season entirely, rendering it inconsequential,” remarked Pierre Gasly during the prior month.
“The reality remains that our potential placements this year will not satisfy our ambitions. Prioritizing development now offers the potential for enhanced success, aligning with our primary objective.
“I wholeheartedly endorse the team’s choices; although seemingly radical, achieving excellence necessitates difficult decisions.”
Alpine’s driver configuration remains unaltered for 2026, with Franco Colapinto again accompanying Gasly. The French driver recently committed until 2028, whereas the Argentinian driver was verified just last month amid inquiries about his capabilities.
