At the Xfinity Mobile Arena in Philadelphia on Saturday, the 47-year-old Andrei Arlovski secured victory in his third encounter against BKFC heavyweight titleholder Ben Rothwell.
Having previously faced the 44-year-old Rothwell twice, with one victory by decision and another by knockout, Arlovski cemented his dominance this weekend. He appeared superior, consistently hitting first, delivering stronger blows, and causing his opponent’s face to be covered in blood by the second round.
Despite Rothwell’s recent success as the BKFC heavyweight champion, his performance seemed notably slow and lethargic. Arlovski capitalized on this throughout every round, repeatedly connecting with straight right hands and effective one-two combinations, which proved sufficient to overpower Rothwell until a medical stoppage occurred in the third round.
The interruption was visibly concerning.
Rothwell’s forehead displayed a significant, V-shaped laceration, with blood profusely covering his entire face. After the ringside doctor cleansed his face and stated the bleeding wasn’t originating from the forehead wound, it became apparent that attention was primarily directed to his eye. Bruising was evident on one side, accompanied by blood accumulation, severely impairing his eyesight.
The contest concluded. Arlovski achieved this feat in only his second bout within the promotion, dethroning the reigning champion.
Arlovski’s triumph was not the sole significant outcome at Knucklemania 6. In the co-main event, Lorenzo Hunt demonstrated his enduring fighting prowess, with the veteran former pound-for-pound elite fighter overcoming the reigning champion, David Mundell, through a dominant fourth-round performance.
This result has the potential for profound repercussions.
Mundell had long sought a bout with Mike Perry, but Hunt’s victory might have thwarted that opportunity. Following his knockout successes against Josh Dyer and now Mundell, a potential Hunt vs. Perry showdown could become the pinnacle event in BKFC, vying for pound-for-pound supremacy, a coveted championship title, and potentially the esteemed ‘King of Violence’ designation.

Shortly after Andrei Arlovski raised the BKFC heavyweight championship, the announcer inquired if he would face Leonardo Perdomo — often referred to as a bare-knuckle Mike Tyson due to his age and tendency for rapid first-round stoppages!
Arlovski indicated he would need a period to recover post-Rothwell fight, but commented that such a match could be explosive. Wow!!!

The most memorable visual from this bout is a V-shaped laceration on Rothwell’s central forehead, bleeding profusely and covering his entire face. A medical professional at ringside cleaned his blood-covered face before the referee, revealing that the severe bleeding wasn’t from the V-cut but from a wound near his eye. The significant detail is that the eye itself was obscured by both contusion and copious blood, rendering it impossible to see. He was inevitably prevented from proceeding.
Arlovski achieved his goal.
A stoppage occurred not by Rothwell being floored, but solely due to his inability to carry on. An outstanding display by Arlovski!!!

Rothwell initiated the second round with a firm counter right. Arlovski forcefully landed a right hand squarely on Rothwell’s face. AND ONCE MORE! That right hand proved to be a persistent offensive tool — astonishing. Rothwell attempted to defend himself, but his movements were ponderous, and he was bleeding from his scalp, contrasting sharply with Arlovski’s fluid offense. Arlovski connected with a one-two. Rothwell’s face was now a crimson mask. Rothwell appeared unsteady … could he be knocked down?! The round concluded with the bell!!!
Round 2: 20-18 — Arlovski

Arlovski’s posture immediately indicated his pursuit of vulnerabilities, and true to form, he delivered a right hand that propelled Rothwell against the ropes, from which he rebounded as if from a professional wrestling ring! The initial exchanges lacked speed and activity, then suddenly, a forceful strike! The commentator speculated that Rothwell might be feeling intimidated, observing his demeanor. Arlovski provided him no opportunity to recover. A dominant round from the contender!
Round 1: 10-9 — Arlovski

David Mundell had consistently been regarded as the fighter who would present Mike Perry with his most formidable BKFC test. He personally articulated this desire to Uncrowned journalist Alan Dawson. It previously appeared that Mundell versus Perry would precede Mundell versus Hunt. However, the latter has now occurred first, with Hunt decisively overcoming Mundell. The question remains: could Perry still face the victor? One certainty is clear… the encounter would be ferocious.

The intensity heightened in the fourth round as Mundell fearlessly launched strikes toward Hunt’s body. Shortly thereafter, Hunt spectacularly knocked Mundell to the canvas with a ferocious single-punch stoppage! ASTOUNDING! That individual possesses loved ones!!! Hunt — you are a formidable competitor! A stepping lead right hand declared Hunt’s re-establishment as the globe’s premier pound-for-pound combatant! INCREDIBLE!

Hunt delivered a right and a left, and Mundell hit the mat! The official ruled it a stumble. Mundell then commanded the center of the fighting area. Hunt altered his footing while Mundell circled the perimeter, seeking an entry point. The speed of the match decreased, drawing jeers from the audience, yet it remained a strategic battle, maintaining its suspenseful nature. Mundell threw a quick jab. He kept his head in motion. THEN HUNT ACHIEVED A KNOCKDOWN! Precisely as Mundell appeared poised to win the round, Hunt secured a knockdown right before its conclusion.
Round 2: 20-18 — Hunt

What an entrance! Kanye’s music played as a colossal Juggernaut-like figure appeared to escort Lorenzo Hunt to the fighting area, with smoke engulfing the scene. This exudes the atmosphere of a major bout, everyone! I’m truly excited. Lorenzo is exceptional.

“Let’s absolutely do this!” his corner shouted, hurrying into the ring to commend Garbarino, who had put Tomlinson on the canvas approximately ten times, owing to a mix of tumbles and official knockdowns. Nevertheless, by the fifth round, the official decided enough was enough, effectively stating, “Your fight is over.”
-
Alan Dawson
Alright, Garbarino incurred a warning from the official for leveraging Tomlinson’s movement to put him on his back and throw him down. Such actions are prohibited in bare-knuckle fighting! While gloves are absent, regulations are certainly present, everyone! And another knockdown occurred, but the official appeared not to score it. That one seemed legitimate, didn’t it? Why isn’t the referee counting it here?? The replay indicated Tomlinson might have already been grounded. No score awarded.

Garbarino executed a shovel hook, sending Tomlinson to the mat in the second round! What an impressive knockdown and strike — truly one of my preferred techniques. And now a further knockdown — the third of this evening — as Garbarino, once more, deposits Tomlinson onto the floor.

Ben Bonner delivered significantly more strikes than Tony Loco Soto, connecting with 152 blows compared to Soto’s 105. Bonner also demonstrated superior accuracy, landing 63% of his thrown punches versus his opponent’s 55%. Furthermore, Bonner successfully landed nearly all of his body attacks.
The official scores reflected these statistics, with judges awarding it 49-46, 48-47, and 49-46 in favor of BONNER!

A Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioner, mixed martial artist, and three-time BKFC competitor, Pat Brady concluded his career with a victory. Following his Unanimous Decision win over Bear Hill, he announced his retirement from a diverse combat sports journey.

… and the officials’ scoring aligned closely with Uncrowned’s assessment, with tallies of 50-42, 50-41, and 49-43 favoring Brady!

Hill is delivering his most forceful strikes of the evening in the fourth round, despite enduring significant punishment in rounds two and three! Has Hill depleted his energy reserves once more?! He is now on the ground. He appears completely exhausted. The referee inquires if he wishes to continue. He agrees. The bout resumes. This is an incredibly harsh, demanding match. Hill’s team should intervene and stop the fight.
Round 4: 39-23 — Brady

Brady sends Hill to the canvas once more! This time, it occurs early in the round, allowing an opportunity to either achieve a third knockdown in the contest or pursue a complete stoppage. The veteran fighter, however, still shows signs of resilience, yet somehow Hill is on the mat again! The official declares it a mere stumble. Frankly, Hill might simply be entirely exhausted at this juncture. Brady is connecting with powerful blows. The bear is finished.
Round 3: 29-25 — Brady
