The Chicago Sky have demonstrated dominance against the Dallas Wings this year.
A score of 87-76 in favor of Chicago on Wednesday at Wintrust Arena ensured a season series victory over the Wings, aiding the Sky’s progress within the Eastern Conference standings.
Chicago prevailed in previous contests by margins of five and eleven points. Their winning sequence against the Wings now stands at five games, commencing in May of 2024.
The Sky possessed a narrow one-point advantage entering the second quarter. A 26-19 score in that quarter widened Chicago’s lead to eight points by halftime. Despite a determined third quarter from the Wings, they could not overcome the deficit.
Sky forward Angel Reese accumulated 15 points, along with 11 rebounds, one assist, and one block. She achieved 6-of-10 shooting from the field and 3-of-5 from the free-throw line.
Wings rookie guard Paige Bueckers posted 17 points, accompanied by four assists, three rebounds, and two steals.
Rebecca Allen spearheaded the Sky’s performance with 27 points, six rebounds, three assists, and three blocks, coming off the bench. Rachel Banham was also notable, contributing 11 points, two assists, and two steals.
Dallas’s efforts were spearheaded by Li Yueru, who scored 18 points and secured 10 rebounds, while J.J. Quinerly added 16 points, five assists, and three steals.
Chicago’s record improves to 6-13 following the victory, while Dallas’s record slips to 6-15. The Sky’s next game is against the Minnesota Lynx on Saturday, and Dallas will face the Indiana Fever on Sunday.
