The Chicago Sky will be without Angel Reese and Ariel Atkins for their Wednesday contest against the Atlanta Dream due to ailments affecting their legs.
Details regarding the specifics of Reese’s injury were not immediately provided. The Sky simply indicated that both players were dealing with “leg” issues. The timeline and circumstances surrounding the injury are also unclear.
Atkins suffered her leg injury during the initial portion of Monday’s defeat to the Minnesota Lynx. She exited the game and did not participate after the intermission. Reese was on the court for 37 minutes in that same game, accumulating 22 points and securing 10 rebounds.
The report of Reese’s injury surfaces just days before her scheduled participation in the WNBA All-Star Game. Reese is expected to play for Napheesa Collier’s Team Collier against Caitlin Clark’s Team Clark this Saturday.
