The MLB’s managerial landscape is seeing significant activity this offseason. Approaching 2026, at least nine teams will instate new full-time managers, including the San Diego Padres, San Francisco Giants, Atlanta Braves, and Baltimore Orioles.

Reportedly, the Los Angeles Angels, following the departures of Ron Washington and interim Ray Montgomery, are appointing former player Kurt Suzuki as their new manager. Suzuki’s major league career spanned 16 years, concluding with a two-year stint with the Angels. He also earned a World Series title with the Washington Nationals in 2019.

Earlier in the month, the Texas Rangers became the first Major League Baseball team to finalize a managerial change, with the official announcement that Skip Schumaker will assume leadership in the dugout. This followed Texas’s previous announcement of a mutual decision to part ways with Bruce Bochy, the celebrated Hall of Fame-bound manager who led the franchise to its inaugural (and thus far only) World Series victory in 2023.

Despite the anticipated high level of transition, there’s no need to worry. CBS Sports will provide ongoing coverage of all managerial developments until every position is filled.

Let’s begin.
