Sentinels has officially ended its agreement with its controller Sean ‘bang’ Bezerra in anticipation of the 2026 VCT season.

The American player was a member of the organisation for a year, during which he contributed to two second-place results in the regional league.

“Today we are saying farewell to bang. It was only a year, but it felt like a much longer period,” Sentinels mentioned on X (Twitter).

Bang hasn’t made public which team he intends to join next, and Sentinels hasn’t made any announcements regarding his replacement as of yet.

“I want to express my gratitude to Sentinels for this chance and to all my teammates and coaches for putting in the effort that they did and making my time there such an amazing experience,” the player posted in a tweet.

Following a prosperous 2024 season, in which the American organisation secured its second VALORANT Masters trophy, 2025 proved to be relatively less impressive. While they did reach the Grand Final twice in VCT Americas, the team was unable to convert those opportunities into actual victories.

Furthermore, the team encountered challenges in achieving substantial success at international VCT competitions and didn’t manage to secure even a single series win at VALORANT Champions Paris.

Reflecting on the season, bang commented: “It’s difficult to reflect on this year and not feel disappointment, but it has only served to increase my motivation to improve and achieve success in the future.”

Will Sentinels Implement Further Roster Adjustments?

It remains uncertain whether the team intends to make any additional alterations. Nevertheless, Rob Moore, the CEO of Sentinels, disclosed that the organisation is currently evaluating players from its academy team, Cubert Academy.

The team’s head coach, Adam ‘kaplan’ Kaplan, along with other members of the staff, will be responsible for assessing the players in order to finalise the roster for the year 2026.
