The Turkish gaming group, BBL Esports, has formally presented its VALORANT team for the upcoming 2026 VCT cycle.
These five competitors and their coaching staff will be representing BBL Esports throughout the next season, all striving to qualify for the VALORANT Champions event next year.
The current active player list for the VALORANT division of BBL Esports includes:
- Eren ‘Rosé‘ Erzan (In-Game Leader)
- Umut ‘umu7‘ Pekdoğan
- Utku ‘Loita‘ Kart
- Yusuf ‘Lar0k‘ Kaan Kanber
- Ali ‘Crewen‘ Eren Sargin
- Mert ‘KEY‘ Çelebi (Head Trainer)
Each of these players previously competed as part of BBL PCIFIC, a collaborative venture between BBL Esports and PCIFIC Esports, which participated in the VALORANT Challengers series during the 2025 season.
This team experienced a period of success, achieving victory at the VCT Ascension EMEA 2025, which secured their promotion to the VCT EMEA League for 2026.
In a statement acknowledging the transition from PCIFIC Esports to BBL Esports, KEY mentioned: “We are at the conclusion of a journey where we collectively worked toward the same objective for about 1.5 years, shared laughter, experienced moments of sadness, and developed together. Today, our team is officially parting ways with PCIFIC Esports.”
“I am extremely grateful to all our followers who maintained faith in us throughout this journey and consistently provided support during every match.”
Earlier in the year, BBL Esports stirred up controversy when they signed the entirety of the BBL PCIFIC lineup following their triumph at VCT Ascension EMEA. Concerns were raised by fans about the resulting player shortage for PCFIFIC Esports, despite having earned a league spot.
Riot Games investigated the situation and reported no policy breaches by either entity, confirming that allegations of shared ownership were ‘unfounded.’
Daniel Ringland, who is the Head of VCT EMEA, explained: “We carefully assessed each player’s contractual agreements for compliance and communicated with the relevant players to remind them of their entitlements. Simultaneously, we looked into the claims of shared ownership between both organizations and affirm that these allegations are not substantiated. As of now, the evidence we have reviewed reveals no misconduct on the part of either BBL or PCIFIC.”
BBL Esports in VALORANT during 2025
The 2025 VCT season proved to be a challenge for BBL Esports, as they were unable to secure a place at this year’s VALORANT Champions in Paris.
The organization participated in a number of events this year, beginning with a sixth-place finish at the EMEA Kickoff, which meant they couldn’t participate in the Masters Bangkok. Later, they reached fourth place in EMEA Stage 1, following a defeat by Team Liquid in the Lower Bracket Semifinals, narrowly missing the Masters Toronto event.
They successfully qualified for the Esports World Cup VALORANT tournament after winning the EMEA Qualifier. However, despite placing first in their group during the Group Stage, they finished eighth out of the sixteen international teams after being defeated by Team Heretics in the Playoffs.
VCT EMEA Stage 2 represented their last opportunity to qualify for the Champions event, but they placed third overall after GIANTX claimed victory in the Lower Bracket Finals, claiming the second spot in the final event.
