Although the contest did not provide as much thrills as their initial encounter on April 26, 2025, it still held intrigue for the spectators present. The primary issue was the depleted and weak state of Eubank Jr., aged 36. His appearance mirrored someone from a horror film, and his performance reflected this state.

The judges scored the bout 119-107, 116-110, and 118-108, all in favor of Benn.

Eubank Jr.’s low energy levels were, in part, due to the following weight-related stipulations:

  1. Competing at 160 lbs instead of his usual 168 lbs
  2. A 10-lb rehydration restriction, preventing him from exceeding 170 lbs post-weigh-in on Friday.

Eubank Jr. appeared slow from the outset. His punches lacked force, and he lacked the stamina to take initiative. His signature uppercuts were noticeably absent. He appeared too enervated to execute them, reminiscent of someone deprived of sustenance for an extended period.

Eubank Jr.’s choice to fight at 160 lbs, a weight class below his usual 168 lbs, was a detrimental decision, draining his vitality. However, the acceptance of a 10-lb rehydration limit, capping his weight at 170 lbs, proved even more damaging. It was an ill-advised choice on Eubank Jr.’s behalf.

Two knockdowns in the final round solidified Benn’s triumph. Eubank Jr. seemed on the verge of defeat. His survival was primarily due to Benn’s limitations. A more skilled middleweight might have secured a stoppage.

Brian ‘BoMac’ McIntyre, Eubank Jr’s trainer, who is regarded by a certain percentage as a mercenary, might have considered withdrawing Eubank Jr. from the match around the seventh round. Eubank Jr’s inability to generate necessary offense was evident by that point.

“Observe what Conor Benn has accomplished against Chris Eubank Jr.—a star has emerged,” stated promoter Eddie Hearn, anointing Benn with the superstar title after his victory.
