An announcement from BLAST revealed that the upcoming Rainbow Six Siege X (R6) APL Major Qualifier is scheduled to happen at the PAX Melbourne 2025 video game event.

In this qualifier, eight of the best APL Stage 2 teams will face off, all aiming to get one of the four available positions in the BLAST R6 Fall Major in Munich, Germany, happening later this year.

The APL Major Qualifier will include the four best regional teams from the APAC North Stage 2 Playoffs, along with the top two teams coming from both Asia Stage 2, and Oceania Stage 2.

Schedule and Format

The qualifier is scheduled to start on October 10th at Fortress Melbourne from 9:00 AM AEST, and will feature both upper and lower brackets. The rounds will be happening behind closed doors up until 17:00 PM AEST, after which the arena will become open to the public for free, with all remaining games played until 23:00 PM AEST.

The following day, the top four teams will be competing live at the PAX arena stage inside the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, with three Bo3 matches, starting from 11:00 AM AEST.

October 12th is when the Grand Finals will take place. The day is set to begin with a creator show-match, with a scheduled start time of 11:00 AM AEST. A match will be played ahead of the Grand Finals, to determine which team secures third place, along with a higher seeding at the Major.

The day will conclude with a final match that will decide the winner of the APL Major Qualifier, and the team that will win the largest share of a €40,000 (~$46,880/£34,600) prize pool.

All of the matches are also going to be broadcast live on Twitch, on both an A and B stream.

The top four teams after the qualifier will be granted access into the BLAST R6 Major in Munich, which is scheduled to occur from November 8th to 16th, 2025. The Major forms a core element of the 2025 Season roadmap, where it will determine which of the 16 international teams will progress onward into the Six Invitational in 2026.
