Scottie Scheffler, who is currently ranked first, will begin Round 2 just one stroke behind thanks to an initial score of 68.

But Brian Harman has made an early surge in Round 2, scoring a 6-under 65 to climb to -8 and take the lead in the clubhouse.

Rory McIlroy, who is participating near his home this week and hoping to make up for his previous performance at Royal Portrush in Northern Ireland, has remained in contention. He completed the second round with a score of 69, bringing him to 3-under, which is five strokes behind Harman.

McIlroy completed No. 18 during a downpour that will definitely influence the scoring in the afternoon, when Scheffler will be playing.
