Activision has announced a fresh competitive circuit for its complimentary battle royale game, Call of Duty: Warzone.

The Call of Duty: Warzone Resurgence Series is scheduled to run between February and July, offering a total of $1.2 million (approximately £888,630) in rewards spread across three physical LAN tournaments.

Starting February 9th, 2026, virtual qualifying rounds for both European and North American regions will decide which teams progress to the initial LAN finals at DreamHack Birmingham later in March. Alongside these online competitions, the Resurgence Series will also conduct an open-entry LAN gathering in Birmingham, where the leading six squads will move on to the championship stage.

Sixteen three-player teams will compete in the LAN championship for a portion of the $100,000 (around £74,062) prize fund. The top four contenders will secure spots at the Esports World Cup, which is set to host the concluding tournament of the Resurgence Series season.

Come April, the Resurgence Series will resume with another round of online qualifying stages and a physical tournament held at DreamHack Atlanta.

After the Birmingham and Atlanta LAN events, the Resurgence Series Championship Qualifiers will be held, providing teams a last chance to secure entry into the primary competition. Activision has not yet disclosed the specific dates for these qualifying rounds.

Between July 29th and August 1st, the 32 leading teams from throughout the season will journey to Riyadh, vying for the inaugural Warzone Resurgence Series championship title and the predominant portion of a $1 million (approximately £740,600) prize fund.

Warzone Resurgence Series Structure

The Warzone Resurgence Series adopts a comparable structure to prior Resurgence competitions that have occurred. Squads gain one point for each elimination, with additional score multipliers being applied based on their final standings.

It’s worth noting that Activision has not yet verified if the tournament will incorporate the Match Point system, a gameplay element observed in other battle royale games like Apex Legends.

Following the conclusion of the 2025 World Series of Warzone, the player base has expressed anxieties regarding the trajectory of Warzone’s competitive scene. However, with the introduction of the Resurgence Series, this revamped structure presents expanded chances for participants to secure entry into the game’s premier competitions.
