Following her absence from September’s WXV Global Series games, Saracens winger Alysha Corrigan has been selected once again for the Canadian national team.

Having sat out matches versus Scotland, England, and France, the 29-year-old player offers a significant advantage to the roster prior to consecutive clashes against England held in Toronto and Ottawa.

Rori Wood additionally makes a comeback after suffering a severe knee injury prior to the 2025 Women’s Rugby World Cup, marking her first appearance on the field since July 2025.

Head coach Kévin Rouet has also included Olympic silver medal winners Piper Logan and Caroline Crossley in the October lineup. Crossley featured in every match of Canada’s second-place performance at the 2025 Women’s Rugby World Cup, whereas Logan stands to collect her debut Test cap.

Sophie de Goede, the current World Rugby Women’s 15s Player of the Year, retains her position as squad captain, alongside vice-captains Olivia Apps, Justine Pelletier, and Alex Tessier.

Canadian head coach Kévin Rouet stated: “It is thrilling to be back home in Canada and have the opportunity to perform before our supporters. Matches hosted domestically hold a unique significance for all the players and coaching staff.

“The entire group is putting in relentless effort to guarantee we reach peak performance against England across these upcoming two encounters. Our roster was unhappy with the draw against England last month. We aim to demonstrate that this squad is making positive strides as we prepare for the 2029 World Cup.”
