The Champion of Champions Tour (CCT) has unveiled the plan for its European Counter-Strike 2 competitive gaming season.

The organizing body for the competitions intends to stage 34 tournaments spanning its core, Challengers, and Contenders divisions for the tactical shooter game.

Unveiled on February 13th, the current CCT Europe season incorporates an advancement structure that offers amateur and semi-professional squads an opportunity to contend for the championship. The Contenders tier involves 16 squads from public qualification rounds vying for a $2,500 (~£1,833) prize fund and two berths in the subsequent Challengers competition.

The Challengers division similarly includes 16 teams, where the leading two Contenders lineups will unite with 14 teams extended invitations based on the Valve Regional Standings (VRS) to strive for $5,000 (~£3,668) and two slots in the primary CCT Europe tournament.

The premier CCT Europe competition represents the grandest of the series, showcasing 36 teams participating through Play-Ins, a Group Stage, and Playoffs to crown the ultimate victor. This elite level of contest also boasts the most substantial prize fund, amounting to $25,000 (~£18,341).

Contenders’ competitive play commences on February 21st, starting with the initial series of games. The inaugural matches are scheduled from March 7th to March 15th, and the final Contenders Series is slated for late October. The principal championship officially kicks off on April 27th with its inaugural Play-In encounters.

CCT During 2026

Ever since its inception in 2022, CCT has grown into a prominent Tier 2 competitive ecosystem within Counter-Strike, drawing teams from Europe and various other global regions to contend for monetary awards. For the current year, the Global Finals are set to take place in Portugal, gathering eight teams to battle for a $75,000 (~£55,044) prize fund, supplemented by an extra $75,000 distributed via club and participant income-sharing programs.

In other news, CCT’s managing entity, GRID, collaborated with New Breed Agency through an agreement that incorporates the Parken Challenger Championship (PCC) offline events into CCT’s digital competition framework.
