Step aside, gentlemen, because the women are ready to take center stage. WTGL, the newly established female simulator golf competition created by Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy’s TMRW Sports, has unveiled its full player lineup for the debut campaign. Fans will find the team identities quite familiar, as the five groups share identical branding with their male counterparts.
The five charter franchises of WTGL are Atlanta Drive, Boston Common Golf, Los Angeles Golf Club, Motor City Golf Club, and New York Golf Club, featuring star-studded rosters with prominent figures such as Charley Hull, Michelle Wie West, Jenno Thitikul, Lexi Thompson, and Lydia Ko.
Motor City Golf Club served as the initial expansion franchise for the TGL, a league that recently welcomed five-time major winner Brooks Koepka. The only two franchises from the men’s division without a corresponding women’s team are The Bay Golf Club and Jupiter Links Golf Club.
“WTGL is set to merge lineups of elite LPGA Tour athletes with the vibrant atmosphere of spectators at the SoFi Center, offering an exciting new format for the women’s game,” stated Rufus Hack, the president of golf at TMRW Sports. “These five squads will battle each other across November and December, establishing a regular platform for female team golf while offering supporters a fresh perspective on the competitors’ characters, strategic choices, and competitive drives as unified teammates. Now that the lineups are finalized, we can start to see franchise characters and competitive rivalries develop.”

Collectively, the 25 competitors in WTGL boast 112 tournament wins on the LPGA Tour, 48 participations in the Solheim Cup, 28 appearances at the Olympic Games, and 15 major titles, hailing from 13 distinct nations.
The competition structure will replicate that of the TGL, featuring three-player lineups for every showdown. Following the regular season, the playoffs will consist of two semifinal matchups, culminating in a best-of-three final series to determine the champion. The official schedule for the opening season has not been released yet.
