Bryson DeChambeau, Jon Rahm, and Cameron Smith have each affirmed their commitment to LIV Golf for the 2026 season, after Brooks Koepka’s move to the PGA Tour. During LIV Golf’s media gathering in South Florida, DeChambeau confirmed his existing contract for the upcoming year, and both Rahm and Smith expressed their intention to remain with the league.
DeChambeau commented, “My contract extends until 2026, and I’m very much looking forward to this season.”
Rahm stated, “No, I have no intentions of leaving, so my response mirrors Bryson’s.” He added, “I extend my best wishes to Brooks, and personally, my attention is directed towards LIV this year, with the aim of my team securing another championship.”
Concurrently, Smith conveyed to Evin Priest of Golf Digest, “My choice to join this circuit was deliberate, and I maintain that commitment.”
Earlier this week, the PGA Tour unveiled its new Returning Member Program, which is designed for four specific LIV Golf participants: Koepka, Rahm, DeChambeau, and Smith. This route back to the PGA Tour permits golfers who secured a major championship or the Players Championship between 2022 and 2025 to participate in the PGA Tour during the 2026 season. The enrollment period began on Monday and is scheduled to conclude on February 2nd, which is two days prior to the commencement of LIV Golf’s initial tournament for the 2026 season.
Koepka amicably separated from LIV Golf on December 23, 2025, explaining his decision was driven by a wish to devote more time to his family. The golfer, who has won five major titles, requested the reinstatement of his PGA Tour membership and leveraged this recently established framework to rejoin in 2026, with his initial event scheduled to be the Farmers Insurance Open towards the conclusion of January.
Both DeChambeau and Smith have been affiliated with LIV Golf since the summer of 2022, whereas Rahm joined the league at the start of 2024. Subsequently, Rahm has secured consecutive individual season championships, with his Legion XIII team also clinching the team championship in 2025. Smith’s Ripper GC claimed the team prize in 2024, and DeChambeau’s Crushers earned the trophy the year before that.
For the 2026 season, LIV Golf will extend its format to 72 holes, a first for the league, aiming to satisfy the Official World Golf Rankings requirements so its participants can accrue ranking points. The organization recently resubmitted its application for this objective. The season is set to commence on February 4th, with the tour heading to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
