LAFC’s star player, Denis Bouanga, has finalized a fresh agreement with the Western Conference club, quelling the ongoing speculation about the Gabonese attacker’s potential move.
The athlete, aged 31, has pledged his allegiance to the Black and Gold until the conclusion of the 2029/30 season, despite significant indications that he might transfer to Brazil’s premier division during the upcoming winter transfer window.
Since his arrival at LAFC in 2022, Bouanga has established himself as a highly productive goal-scorer within Major League Soccer, contributing 66 goals and 21 assists during his tenure in Southern California.
LAFC’s Co-President and General Manager, John Thorrington, stated, “Excellence is paramount at this organization. Denis has consistently performed at a top-tier standard since joining us, playing a crucial role in securing numerous championships.”
He added, “This updated agreement acknowledges his contributions. We are immensely proud of his achievements with us and are eager to further develop this shared success.”
Bouanga, collaborating with fellow star attacker Son Heung-min, commenced the 2026 season impressively, initiating the campaign with a dominant 3-0 victory against the current champions, Inter Miami, last weekend.
