The third Test between England and India at the celebrated Lord’s ground is currently in progress. A focal point of interest during the match is the presence of prominent figures like Sachin Tendulkar, Chris Gayle, and Brett Lee within the spectator area. Meanwhile, considerable anticipation arose surrounding the potential attendance of distinguished Indian cricketer Virat Kohli at the Test match. In connection with this matter, former wicketkeeper-batsman Dinesh Karthik has shared his perspective on the subject.
Dinesh Karthik keeps fans guessing over Virat Kohli’s Lord’s attendance
Addressing the likelihood of Kohli being present at the match, Karthik stated his uncertainty regarding Kohli’s attendance, pointing out his responsibilities as a father to two young children, suggesting his time is likely devoted to parental duties. He noted that Tendulkar and his wife, Anjali, were in attendance at the venue, given their proximity of residence. It is widely known that Kohli has relocated to London permanently with his wife, Anushka Sharma, and their two children, daughter Vamika and son Akaay, seeking a more tranquil and private lifestyle.
“Don’t know if Virat Kohli will be coming to the game. Two young kids. Daddy duties. Sachin Tendulkar is here. His wife Anjali. They live around the corner here as well,” Karthik remarked during his commentary on Sky Sports.
