Draper Aims for US Open Comeback Post-Injury

Due to an arm ailment, Jack Draper, the top-ranked British player, has pulled out of the upcoming competitions in Toronto and Cincinnati.

However, the 23-year-old intends to return at the US Open, which starts on August 24.

Draper, who advanced to the US Open semi-finals in 2024, stated on social media: “Following Wimbledon, I sustained a minor injury to my left arm.”

“I need to ensure it heals completely for the remainder of the season.”

The Canadian Open begins on July 26, while the Cincinnati Open commences on August 4.

Draper was eliminated from Wimbledon in the second round after losing to Marin Cilic of Croatia in four sets.

He is not the only prominent player to withdraw from the Canadian Open; Wimbledon champion Jannik Sinner and 24-time Grand Slam winner Novak Djokovic have also confirmed their absence.
