Esports event organizer BLAST has declared that ECSTATIC is set to take the place of Imperial Esports in the forthcoming BLAST Bounty Season 1 2026 Counter-Strike 2 competition.
This Danish esports organization now becomes part of a considerable roster of teams vying in the initial Tier 1 tournament for 2026.
Revealed on December 23rd, 2025, this competition marks ECSTATIC’s first participation in a Tier 1 event since August, when they were part of the online stage of BLAST Open London. In those online qualification rounds, the Danish squad was defeated by FaZe Clan and Fnatic, achieving a position within the top 16. It’s worth noting that BLAST has not disclosed the rationale for ECSTATIC stepping in for Imperial Esports.
Beyond Tier 1 tournaments, the team has maintained a progressive path in both online and in-person events. November saw them secure second place at DraculaN #3 and triumph in Winline Insight Season 9.
Holding the 44th position in the Valve Regional Standings (VRS) presently, a commendable performance at BLAST Bounty Season 1 provides ECSTATIC with a chance to commence the year positively, building on their successes from previous months.
Consequently, Imperial Esports will no longer be involved in BLAST Bounty Season 1, decreasing the number of American participants from five to four.
