The Esports World Cup Foundation revealed that the first Esports Nations Cup will have a prize fund of $20 million (approximately £14.4 million).

This international esports competition, scheduled for November 2nd through 29th, will implement a performance-based system, ensuring that all qualifying competitors receive winnings for their specific game.

The ENC’s $45 Million Pledge

In total, the Esports World Cup Foundation plans to allocate $45 million (roughly £32.6 million) to bolster the esports sector, providing prize funds, rewards for esports organizations, and fostering the growth of national squads.

Beyond the $20 million prize fund, an additional $5 million (around £3.6 million) is designated for organizations whose players participate in the Esports Nations Cup, with these incentives linked to individual player achievements throughout the tournament.

Should an organization enter a player who achieves a top 16 finish, the organization will receive a bonus incentive equal to 40% of that player’s total winnings from the competition. This bonus is distinct from the player’s own prize money.

“National squads introduce a potent new dimension to esports—one that is approachable, straightforward, and founded on identity and national pride,” commented Ralf Reichert, CEO of the Esports World Cup Foundation. “Our award structure aims to ensure equitable and lasting competition, compensating excellent play while fostering the enduring advancement of competitors, teams, and country-specific initiatives.”

The remaining $20 million originates from the Esports Nations Cup Development Fund, a program established to aid the expansion and progress of national esports squads. This assistance covers aspects from travel to competitions to backing promotional campaigns aimed at increasing public recognition of the participating teams.

Esports Nations Cup 2026 Titles

To date, the Esports World Cup Foundation has unveiled three of the sixteen games slated for inclusion in the first Esports Nations Cup.

Mobile Legends: Bang Bang is set to be included, a result of the Foundation’s partnership with MOONTON Games, one of the tournament’s publishing allies. Additionally, the arcade racing game Trackmania will be part of the roster, secured via an agreement with Ubisoft Nadeo.

On January 28th, Dota 2 was confirmed as the third game for the Esports Nations Cup. Thirty-two national teams are scheduled to contend in this MOBA game, aiming to become the inaugural ENC victor.
