Estevao, the fresh face at Chelsea, marked his introduction to Stamford Bridge during the opening weekend of the Premier League, stepping onto the field as a second-half replacement against Crystal Palace.
This occurred a year after the club finalized an agreement to secure the services of the young Brazilian talent, and following a moment where he scored 18 minutes into his initial pre-season appearance against Bayern Leverkusen.
Supporters of the Blues are hopeful that the individual with five Brazilian national team appearances under his belt will quickly adapt to life in west London, and indications suggest that the emerging player is already building connections with his new colleagues.
Estevao on his early Cole Palmer bond

Soon after his transfer was official, Estevao initiated a series of direct messages with Cole Palmer, and just days later, he celebrated a goal in Palmeiras’ 3-1 victory against Juventude by emulating the England international’s distinctive ‘cold’ pose.
“After completing the agreement to join Chelsea, the idea for that celebration instantly came to my mind,” he shared with FourFourTwo. “Subsequently, Palmer noticed it and contacted me, expressing his eagerness for us to share the field as teammates. The message was conveyed in British English, which posed a slight challenge for me. Consequently, I sought assistance from a translation application! I must admit, I also utilized it to respond to him!”

Palmer followed up again with his soon-to-be teammate, inquiring if he planned to visit the club before officially joining the squad in the summer months.
“Regrettably, I was unable to make it,” he stated. “However, the gesture was deeply appreciated. It was evident that they were anticipating my arrival and were already eager to welcome me.”
In an interesting twist of fate, Estevao’s concluding appearance for Palmeiras occurred against Chelsea in the quarter-final stage of the Club World Cup. Despite his former team succumbing to a 2-1 defeat against the ultimate champions of the tournament, Estevao managed to score and was recognized with the player of the match award.
“Of course, I acknowledge the necessity to cultivate a more robust and intensely physical presence at some juncture, but I am not overly concerned about it,” he expressed.

“There will be a comprehensive strategy implemented to accomplish this, and I am fully aware of what I can bring to the game, my inherent strengths, and my capacity to influence the outcome.
“Physical strength is not invariably the definitive attribute. I possess unwavering conviction in my inherent capabilities.”
