EuroBasket 2025, the latest chapter of the every-four-years event to determine the top basketball squad in Europe, commences on August 27 and continues until September 14 across Cyprus, Finland, Poland, and Latvia. The competition will include 24 nations and a multitude of NBA athletes.
This event highlights the premier basketball figures in Europe, many of whom are well-known individuals frequently seen in the NBA. Given the increasing number of international players in the NBA each year, it is not unusual for numerous EuroBasket teams to boast some of the NBA’s finest, and this year will see many prominent figures representing their respective nations.
Giannis Antetokounmpo, Luka Dončić, and Nikola Jokić are the most recognizable names scheduled to participate in EuroBasket, but a significant amount of NBA talent will be present on various teams all vying for the title of European champions. While French sensation Victor Wembanyama will be absent this time as he continues to recover from deep vein thrombosis, which prematurely ended his NBA season last year, France remains the leader in terms of NBA players participating in the competition.
