F1 Race Contracts: Calendar Length

The following provides an account of the current arrangement for Formula 1 grand prix events and the period of the engagements as of October 2025.

Las Vegas Grand Prix – Las Vegas: 2025

Formula 1 had aspirations to revisit Las Vegas for several years, and this aspiration materialized in November 2023. The competition is slated to unfold on a newly constructed street course, guiding competitors past locales such as The Strip. In addition, the contest is scheduled to occur on Saturday evening, considered a primetime slot. The initial understanding encompasses three years, with deliberations underway to potentially extend the alliance to a decade.

Spanish Grand Prix – Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya: 2026

In the latter part of 2021, Formula 1 broadened its association with Barcelona, committing for a duration of five years, extending until the conclusion of 2026. The event in the city had been subjected to uncertainties owing to outdated infrastructure and inadequate financial backing. During the COVID-19 circumstances, a consensus was reached by involved parties, resulting in an extended arrangement. As part of the agreement, improvements to the complex were mandated.

However, it was conveyed this past January that from 2026, the Spanish GP would transition to Madrid on a 3.4-mile non-permanent circuit.

Dutch Grand Prix – Zandvoort: 2026

News emerged in December 2024 that 2026 would mark the final occasion of Zandvoort hosting a grand prix, signifying F1’s departure from Max Verstappen’s homeland. Circuit director Robert van Overdijk stated: “In contrast to numerous other nations, we do not benefit from governmental assistance; consequently, we bear the ultimate responsibility for the financial outcome. Based on this, we must meticulously assess our financial vulnerabilities. I believe we can take pride in concluding a noteworthy chapter in Dutch sporting annals.”

Singapore Grand Prix – Marina Bay Street Circuit: 2028

Formula 1 is committed to continuing its presence on Singapore’s distinctive street circuit until a minimum of 2028, subsequent to the validation of a fresh seven-year accord in the early stages of 2022. The event was notably absent from the schedule in both 2020 and 2021 due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Mexican Grand Prix – Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez: 2028

Formula 1 has formalized a subsequent three-year contractual extension with the organizers of the Mexican Grand Prix, ensuring the race’s retention on the calendar until 2028. This development follows the Mexico City race’s agreement to a contract extension in April 2025. During the autumn of 2024, the grand prix’s director, Alejandro Soberon, communicated confidence in the event’s continuity, irrespective of Sergio Perez’s involvement.

Japanese Grand Prix – Suzuka: 2029

The Suzuka circuit has maintained its presence on the Formula 1 calendar since 1987, except for a temporary cessation in 2007 and 2008. In 2024, the race officially broadened its arrangement, committing until the conclusion of 2029. Acknowledging the importance of the Japanese market and the intricacies of the course, the GP’s future appears secure in the foreseeable future.

Azerbaijan Grand Prix – Baku: 2030

The street circuit situated in Baku possesses an engagement extending until the close of 2030. During the 2025 iteration of the event, a four-year contract augmentation was disclosed, encompassing the period from 2027 to 2030.

Sao Paulo Grand Prix – Interlagos: 2030

F1 unveiled a fresh agreement concerning the Interlagos circuit in Sao Paulo during the 2023 event, guaranteeing the series’ presence at the venue until the end of 2030. Speculation had previously suggested a potential relocation to a newly constructed circuit in Rio de Janeiro, although the realization of this project has encountered delays.

Austrian Grand Prix – Red Bull Ring: 2030

Towards the conclusion of 2020, Red Bull advisor Dr Helmut Marko made public the validation of a fresh, extended arrangement. The precise timeframe, though, was not formally communicated. In consideration of the race’s standing and relevance to Red Bull, it was reasonably anticipated to feature on the calendar for subsequent years.

A recent agreement was revealed during the 2023 event, guaranteeing the continuation of F1’s presence at the Red Bull Ring at least until 2030.

Abu Dhabi Grand Prix – Yas Marina Circuit: 2030

In December 2021, Formula 1 announced a multi-year engagement with Abu Dhabi. The Yas Marina Circuit, the venue where Max Verstappen secured his maiden F1 world title in 2021 amidst a compelling conclusion, is slated to host F1 activities until at least the end of 2030. Speculation points towards the circuit serving as the season’s concluding venue in the times ahead.

Saudi Arabian Grand Prix – Jeddah Cornice Circuit: 2030

The Formula 1 race situated in Saudi Arabia finds its place on the itinerary extending to the conclusion of 2030, owing to a 10-year understanding established with the sport. For the contract’s early years, the street circuit located in Jeddah will stage the racing contests. Progressing from this point, a completely new complex situated in Qiddiya will transform into the primary location.

Chinese Grand Prix – Shanghai International Circuit: 2030

The year 2024 signified Formula 1’s reappearance in China following its 2019 absence triggered by COVID-19. Given the series’ substantial importance in the market, a recent agreement was formalized in late 2024 to prolong the Shanghai International Circuit’s engagement for an additional half-decade.

Canadian Grand Prix – Circuit Gilles Villeneuve: 2031

The semi-street course in Montreal is contracted to remain a feature on the Formula 1 schedule up to 2031. In March 2017, a multi-year arrangement was ratified, setting the stage until the conclusion of 2029. The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic prevented F1 from conducting races in Canada during 2020 and 2021. These years were then appended to the pre-existing agreement, resulting in an extension until 2031.

Italian Grand Prix – Monza: 2031

The Autodromo Nazionale di Monza has been officially prolonged for an additional span of six years, therefore continuing its function as host of the Italian GP. The complex has undertaken considerable infrastructure investments in recent years and will experience further improvements in the times to come. The race holds substantial significance for Ferrari and the Tifosi, existing beside Imola as the Italian team’s home race.

Belgian Grand Prix – Spa-Francorchamps: 2031

The renowned Spa-Francorchamps circuit has had its arrangement extended for four more races until 2031, with no grands prix scheduled in 2028 and 2030. The event is set to operate on a rotational model, primarily with other European tracks, reflective of amplified interest from various continents in holding an F1 race.

Hungarian Grand Prix – Hungaroring: 2032

Since 1986, the Hungaroring has been the location for the Hungarian Formula 1 event. The current contractual arrangement extends until the cessation of 2032, proceeding from the pronouncement of a five-year contract addition during the 2023 event. The circuit is scheduled for significant construction.

Qatar Grand Prix – Losail: 2032

Qatar made its inaugural presence on the schedule in 2021, substituting for the terminated Australian GP. A decade-long arrangement was agreed upon before the maiden race. No F1 activity took place in 2022 resulting from the FIFA World Cup, though a GP has occurred in Qatar each year subsequently. In the beginning, these events were held at the Losail circuit; however, a new complex is in the process of being established.

British Grand Prix – Silverstone: 2034

The Formula 1 race at Silverstone is programmed to operate up to at least the cessation of 2034. The new arrangement was endorsed in 2024, aligning it with other venues possessing enduring agreements. Silverstone possesses considerable recorded importance for Formula 1: the venue served as the site for the primary F1 competition contributing to the world championship, on May 13, 1950.

United States Grand Prix – Circuit of the Americas: 2034

The Circuit of the Americas present in Austin is contracted to hold the Formula 1 race until at least 2034. At the 2025 race, the agreement was further extended with an eight-year augmentation, given that the previous arrangement was set to lapse by the close of 2026. F1 has observed substantial elevation in appeal in recent years within the States, particularly through the influence of the Netflix series Drive to Survive. COTA has remained a continuous component of the F1 schedule for an extended duration, ever since staging its inaugural GP in 2012, only being suspended in 2020 due to COVID-19.

Monaco Grand Prix – Monte Carlo: 2035

Monaco is expected to continue its presence on the F1 schedule until the 2035 season at the earliest, owing to a contract addition completed in September 2025. Initially, the race secured a new arrangement extending to 2031, following uncertainties surrounding its continuation. However, within a period less than 12 months, another contract augmentation was declared, contributing an additional four years to the engagement.

Bahrain Grand Prix – Bahrain International Circuit: 2036

The Bahrain GP represents the race possessing the Formula 1 arrangement with the greatest duration. The race is listed on the calendar until at least 2036, a resolution reached in February 2022. To date, in the chronicles of F1, an arrangement characterized by such duration has never been finalized.

Australian Grand Prix – Albert Park: 2037

Formula 1 has maintained an annual presence in Melbourne since 1996, except for the COVID-19-affected years of 2020 and 2021. Despite a current arrangement spanning until the cessation of 2025, a new agreement was under deliberation. The announcement was subsequently delivered in June 2022, establishing an extension stretching to 2035. 2025 will witness Australia resuming its role as the season opener, representing the first occasion since 2019. The venue is programmed to conduct the initial race of the season a minimum of five times within its novel arrangement.

Information surfaced in December 2022 denoting a further arrangement extension, prolonging the engagement by an additional two years, up to 2037.

Miami Grand Prix – Miami International Autodrome: 2041

Formula 1’s inaugural journey to Miami occurred in 2022. Irrespective of uncertainties pertaining to the occasion’s visual appeal, ticket sales, and track characteristics, a decade-long arrangement was established even prior to the inaugural race. Miami is now set to feature on the F1 programme until 2041, having secured a decade-long contract addition supplemental to its preliminary engagement in May 2025.
