[Real-Time NFL News]
As teams gear up for Week 4 action in the National Football League, word has emerged that the New York Giants have made a significant alteration, announcing that Jaxson Dart will be their QB1.
Russell Wilson has faced challenges in the initial trio of contests, and the lackluster defeat to the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday evening seemingly proved decisive for head coach Brian Daboll and his coaching team. Daboll hesitated to confirm Wilson’s starting role against the Chargers in Week 4, a decision now understood.
Dart, chosen as the 25th overall selection in the previous NFL Draft during last April, showed potential during the preseason and has a talented offensive group to develop with, including standout wideout Malik Nabers, running backs Tyrone Tracy Jr. and Cam Skattebo, and tight end Theo Johnson. However, Tracy is projected to be sidelined for 2-4 weeks due to a shoulder injury.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will also be missing a significant offensive weapon, as wide receiver Mike Evans is reportedly expected to be out for “several” weeks after sustaining a hamstring injury during Sunday’s victory against the New York Jets.
Reports of injuries to prominent players have been prevalent this week, with the San Francisco 49ers losing star defensive end Nick Bosa for the remainder of the campaign because of a torn ACL, and the Dallas Cowboys losing wide receiver CeeDee Lamb for an estimated 3-4 weeks due to a severe ankle sprain.
