The digital sports data organization, GRID, has declared a collaborative agreement with the technologically advanced sports forecasting entity, Sportstensor.
As a direct outcome of this arrangement, the extensive spectrum of data that GRID possesses, encompassing a multitude of esports game titles, will fuel predictive analytical platforms.
According to an official communication, GRID is set to disseminate data pertaining to Counter-Strike 2, Dota 2, League of Legends, and VALORANT, among other gaming ecosystems. This is made achievable through its existing partnerships with diverse game production companies and competitive event management entities.
The core objective of this collaborative effort is to significantly broaden the availability of esports-related prediction markets on the Sportstensor digital infrastructure. Furthermore, the probity and reliability of these forecasting avenues are anticipated to witness advancements, with officially sanctioned and meticulously verified data, sourced directly from a broad range of esports competitions, underpinning the operations of these markets.
“Prediction markets are gradually becoming recognised as a fast-paced avenue for digital entertainment,” according to Dominika Szot, Vice President of Growth at GRID. “Esports, being a sport that exists in the digital realm by its very essence, is perfectly compatible with the current ecosystem. It is imperative to maintain integrity within settlement processes, and official data serves as the bedrock to ensure predictions are equitable, transparent, and resistant to tampering.”
Prediction markets continue to be an expanding sector for various involved parties in the esports and betting landscapes. Some time ago, PrizePicks obtained endorsement from the CFTC as the platform aims to enter the domain of prediction markets.
GRID’s Trajectory in 2025
In recent times, GRID has solidified its position as one of the foremost digital platforms specialising in the collection and analysis of esports-related data on a global scale. Months ago, the organization successfully acquired the assets belonging to B2B esports corporation Bayes Esports, subsequent to the company’s declaration of insolvency.
Elsewhere, it is continuously expanding its portfolio of collaborative partnerships. Previously, GRID successfully finalized a long-term agreement with the ESL FACEIT Group, thereby becoming the exclusive distributor of data and also the integrity partner for its Counter-Strike 2 and Dota 2 tournaments.
The strategic alliance between GRID and Sportstensor places esports at the vanguard of an industry vertical yet to unlock its complete array of opportunities. With Polymarket in the process of launching its services within the United States, prediction markets are providing novel pathways for companies seeking alternative methods to introduce esports-oriented markets on their respective digital platforms.
