Hewett and Reid finished as the second-place team for the second year running, with De la Puente of Spain securing his third doubles masters title within a four-year period. He previously secured the doubles championship alongside Joachim Gerard of Belgium in 2024.
Spaargaren, his partner in 2025, celebrated his first masters doubles championship win after being defeated in two prior final matches.
“I feel we showcased excellent teamwork against the British duo,” Spaargaren stated. “The game was very competitive, so I’m very pleased that we were victorious.”
“We managed to prevent one match point against us, but we then lost three ourselves, making the ending quite nerve-wracking.”
“Therefore, I believe we performed exceptionally well.”
