Horse Racing Coverage: Sept. 18-21 Viewing/Listening Guide

The forthcoming weekend’s agenda in North American equine sports is prominently marked by the concluding significant dirt track competitions designated for participants aged three years. These races will unfold at Parx Racing this Saturday, scheduled for Sept. 20. The Pennsylvania Derby has garnered a challenging assembly of contenders, spearheaded by Baeza, who secured third place in both the Kentucky Derby Presented by Woodford Reserve and the Belmont Stakes Presented by NYRA Bets. Simultaneously, the recent victor of the Coaching Club American Invitational Stakes, Scottish Lassie, will face off against Good Cheer, the champion of the Longines Kentucky Oaks, in the Cotillion Stakes designed for fillies.

Both of these prestigious races, in conjunction with five additional stakes races held at Parx, will be broadcast on FanDuel TV. This broadcasting entity will also present the sole Breeders’ Cup “Win and You’re In” qualifying event for the weekend, known as the Princess Rooney Invitational Stakes at Gulfstream Park, alongside coverage from Churchill Downs, Woodbine, and other racing venues.

NYRA’s “America’s Day at the Races” is slated to occur from Thursday, Sept. 18, until Sunday, Sept. 21, showcasing races at Belmont at the Big A. The program, set to air on FOX Sports channels, will also incorporate harness racing throughout this period. This includes the Little Brown Jug at the Delaware, Ohio, County Fair on Thursday, and an evening broadcast on Friday, Sept. 19, originating from Hoosier Park in Indiana, which will feature the Caesars Trotting Classic. Refer to the schedule provided below for detailed channel and timing specifics.

Prepare for this weekend’s exciting events in Pennsylvania with the Hot 2 Trot podcast. Dan Todjman from America’s Best Racing is scheduled to join hosts Ashley Eisenbeil and Meadow Twaddle on Friday, Sept. 19, to preview Pennsylvania Day at the Races, Pennsylvania Derby Day, and the Presque Isle Downs Masters Stakes.

Equine racing events from various global tracks are accessible to subscribers via the Racetrack Television Network (RTN), which offers live streaming on an array of devices, including computers, tablets, and smartphones, as well as television access through DISH Network, Amazon Fire, and Roku.
