Nick Kyrgios is set to participate in his inaugural ATP Tour match in nearly a year, having secured a wildcard spot for the upcoming Brisbane International event.
Health concerns have limited the Australian athlete to only five singles appearances throughout 2025; his last contest was a second-round loss against Karen Khachanov at the Miami Open back in March.
Prior to his appearance in Brisbane, he is scheduled to make a high-profile return by competing against the women’s top-ranked player, Aryna Sabalenka, in a ‘Battle of the Sexes’ exhibition encounter on December 28.
This particular contest, which has generated varied reactions, is slated for live broadcast on BBC One.
