The Elland Road stadium in Leeds was the venue for a Premier League game this week, the first in two years.
The home supporters left the stadium very happy, as Lukas Nmecha, a new addition to the team, scored a penalty in the 84th minute, securing a victory against Everton.
Throughout the game, Leeds had more chances to score, but they found it hard to get the ball on target. However, Anton Stach’s shot was deflected off Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and then hit James Tarkowski’s arm while he was in Everton’s penalty box.
Leeds supporters teased Everton’s chant from the stands

Chris Kavanagh indicated the penalty spot, with the VAR officials confirming the decision, allowing Nmecha, who joined Leeds in the summer, to successfully convert the penalty against Jordan Pickford.
There was debate about whether the penalty should have been awarded, as Tarkowski’s arm was not considered to be in a ‘natural position.’
The Everton player argued he was not at fault, but it was decided that he had moved his arm into the path of the ball.
When the game ended, many fans left the stadium and began to make fun of the Everton fans.
The Leeds supporters jokingly imitated a section of the Everton song ‘Spirit of the Blues‘, specifically the ‘Woo’ part often sung by Everton fans during the song.
Leeds’ victory in their first Premier League game marked the first instance since 2007 of a second-tier champion winning their opening match in the top division.
The last time a Championship winner won their first Premier League match was Sunderland in the 2007-08 season.
This weekend, The Whites will play against Arsenal, which is expected to be a difficult match, while Everton will play against Brighton and Hove Albion as David Moyes’ team attempts to gain points.
