The Week 3 matchup on Monday Night Football pits the Detroit Lions against the Ravens in Baltimore. Both teams have a record of 1-1, and the Lions are seeking their first away game victory of the current season.
Following a 52-point outburst against Chicago the previous week, Detroit aims to maintain their momentum against a Baltimore defense that uncharacteristically conceded 41 points in Week 1 versus Buffalo but improved in Week 2 against Cleveland. With both teams eager to stay competitive within the AFC and NFC North divisions, this contest is expected to be closely fought.

Detroit’s offensive unit rediscovered its rhythm last week against former offensive coordinator Ben Johnson and his Chicago Bears. Spearheaded by Jared Goff, the Lions accumulated 511 total offensive yards and scored seven touchdowns, with Goff accounting for five of them. After a lackluster performance in Week 1, the Lions seemed motivated by Johnson’s return, using it to their advantage. However, it’s less likely that the Ravens’ defense will concede as easily as the Bears, meaning head coach Dan Campbell’s Lions will face a tougher challenge in Baltimore.
Baltimore’s offensive has been impressive in the initial two weeks of the season, achieving at least 40 points in each game. The Ravens’ defense regained its form against the Browns in Week 2, limiting them to 17 points and 208 passing yards while forcing two turnovers.
The Lions’ dynamic offense appears to be back after their dominant display against the Bears.
Meanwhile, Lamar Jackson had an outstanding week, throwing four touchdown passes and tying Aaron Rodgers for the highest career passer rating in NFL history. He’ll need to replicate a similar performance to sustain this momentum in Week 3.
