The possibility of Alexander Isak joining Liverpool seems increasingly likely.
Liverpool’s initial offer of approximately £120 million was turned down, but there’s a growing expectation that they will make another attempt.
Exceeding their previous offer might necessitate generating additional revenue, a process they’ve already initiated.
Liverpool edging nearer to Alexander Isak acquisition

Despite their considerable expenditure already this summer, Liverpool has already recovered a significant sum through player sales.
The departures of Luis Diaz, Caoimhin Kelleher, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Jarrel Quansah have generated over £120 million so far, and Darwin Nunez also seems to be nearing an exit from Anfield.

Additional funds are expected to come from the transfer of academy player Tyler Morton, who, according to L’Equipe, is headed to Lyon in France.
The Reds have reached an agreement for the defensive midfielder to join the French team for €15 million, including potential add-ons. Because he progressed through the academy, his sale is considered ‘pure-profit’ for PSR purposes, significantly increasing their flexibility in the transfer market.
This development would make a move for Isak more attainable, providing the financial leeway to adjust their offer to meet Newcastle’s demands.
Despite some promising early performances, notably against Milan at San Siro in the Champions League, Morton never fully realized his potential at Liverpool.

This transfer appears beneficial for all parties involved, with the possible exception of Newcastle. Morton gains the opportunity for consistent, high-level football; Liverpool improves their PSR position; and Lyon acquires a player they’ve been pursuing for some time.
Newcastle supporters will likely be concerned that each transaction brings the Reds closer to meeting Isak’s valuation, increasing the risk of losing their key player.
