The organizers at MOONTON have shared details about the tickets, overall structure, and a celebratory event for the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) M7 World Championship.
Scheduled to occur in Jakarta, Indonesia, next January, tickets will be available for purchase starting November 2nd on the official website, offering a 20% early bird discount until November 30th. M7 marks the return of the M World Championships to Indonesia, following the M4 event in 2022.
Notably, M7 is scheduled for January instead of its usual December timeframe due to the SEA Games in Thailand, where MLBB is included as a medal-awarding event.
M7 World Championship’s tournament format and schedule
The M7 World Championship is set to commence with the Wildcard Stage, spanning from January 3rd to 6th, 2026. This initial phase will involve eight teams representing emerging or newly established regions.
During this stage, the teams will be divided into two balanced groups, participating in a single round-robin format. The top two teams from each group will then proceed to the subsequent stage. In this phase, the group winner will face the runner-up from the opposing group, with the winners of each match securing a spot in M7’s Swiss Stage.
The Swiss Stage is scheduled to take place from January 10th to 17th at the MPL Arena XO Hall. The 16 participating teams must achieve three victories across a maximum of five matches to qualify for the Knockout Stage.
The Knockout Stage will be structured as a double-elimination bracket. The earlier matches will continue to be held at the MPL Arena XO.
The concluding phases, including the Grand Finals, will transition to the Tennis Indoor Stadium Senayan, GBK, from January 21st to 25th. These matches will adhere to a best-of-five format, with the exception of the Grand Finals, which will be contested as a best-of-seven series.
The tournament will distribute a total prize pool of $1m (~£757,000), with the champion team receiving $320,000 (~£242,000).
M7 Carnival and Talent Show
Alongside the Knockout Stage, MOONTON is organizing the M7 Carnival from January 23rd to 25th at the Stadion Madya GBK.
This fan-focused event will require separate tickets and will feature live performances, viewing parties, opportunities to meet content creators, and an entirely new M7 Talent Show. MOONTON has indicated that further details about the Talent Show will be released shortly.
