The latest adjustments for Marvel Rivals are now available, featuring enhancements and adjustments to the character lineup, unveiled shortly after the announcement of the Season 3.5 content expansion.

This update focuses on reining in some of the most potent heroes from Season 3. Here’s a detailed overview of all the modifications that players should be aware of as the Mid-Season update approaches.

Vanguards: Strengthening Groot’s Capabilities

Magneto’s defensive capabilities have been adjusted, reducing the health of his Metal and Iron Bulwark shields from 300 to 250.

Conversely, Dr. Strange and Groot, highly favored Vanguards, are receiving improvements. Groot’s attack range is being extended, while Dr. Strange will see enhancements to his offensive skills.

    • Increased the number of Daggers of Denak projectiles from 8 to 10.
    • Reduced the cooldown for Cloak of Levitation from 15 seconds to 12 seconds.

    • Extended the range of Vine Strike from 20 meters to 22 meters.
    • Extended the range of Flora Colossus from 20 meters to 24 meters.

Thor is slated for the most significant changes among the Vanguards, following his performance struggles this season. His Lightning Realm ability will now include a grounding effect on enemies.

    • Receives one Thorforce upon exiting the Awakening Rune state.
    • Lightning Realm: Enemies exiting the area of effect will be Grounded for 2 seconds, which restricts their ability to use aerial maneuvers.

Wolverine and Black Panther, who have emerged as top-tier Duellists, are set to receive adjustments to balance their effectiveness in the upcoming update.

  • Wolverine
    • The energy cost for Last Stand (Ultimate Ability) has been increased from 2800 to 3400.
    • The Lifesteal effect from the Primal Flame – Phoenix Warrior Team-Up Ability will no longer contribute to charging the Ultimate Ability.
  • Black Panther
    • The cooldown period for Spirit Rend has been extended from 8 seconds to 10 seconds.

Star Lord is making a comeback, while Spider-Man and Iron Fist are recovering from prior adjustments.

  • Star Lord
    • Gains a bonus of 25 Health when Stellar Shift is used (up to a maximum of 25), which lasts for 3 seconds before diminishing to 0 over 1 second.
  • Iron Fist
    • Increased the damage of Jeet Kune Do’s fifth strike from 50 to 55.
    • Increased the percentage damage to the enemy’s Max Health per strike from Yat Jee Chung Kuen from 2.1% to 2.7%.
    • Adjusted the decay start time for Harmony Recovery Bonus Health from 1 second to 2 seconds.
    • Increased the damage of K’un-Lun Kick’s first strike from 30 to 35.
  • Spider-Man
    • Increased the damage per second of Spectacular Spin (Ultimate Ability) from 150 to 170.

Strategists: Improvements for Adam Warlock and Mantis

Adam Warlock and Mantis will receive crucial enhancements to their healing capabilities and overall support effectiveness, aimed at helping them compete with other top healers.

  • Adam Warlock
    • Reduced the energy cost for Karmic Revival (Ultimate Ability) from 5000 to 4700.
    • Karmic Revival New Effect: Revived allies now gain Bonus Health, set at 70% of their Maximum Health, which lasts for 5 seconds before reducing to 0 over 2 seconds.
    • Cosmic Cluster New Effect: Every hit now decreases Avatar Life Stream charge times by 0.3 seconds.
  • Mantis
    • Healing is increased by 10% due to the new Team-Up Anchor effect.
    • Healing Flower’s Healing Over Time effect is reduced from 12.5/s to 10/s.
    • Life Energy Blast projectile charges are reduced from 20 to 15.
    • The Soul Resurgence (Ultimate Ability) conversion rate of excess healing to Bonus Health is improved from 0.7 to 1.

In contrast, Cloak & Dagger’s popularity has surged, leading to a recalibration of their ultimate ability.

    • The energy cost for Eternal Bond (Ultimate Ability) is increased from 4000 to 4300.
