Financial services giant Mastercard is increasing its involvement to become the nominated partner of the Woking based squad from the 2026 F1 campaign onwards.
Commencing next season, McLaren will be referred to as McLaren Mastercard Formula 1 Team, showcasing a furtherance in the payment provider’s commitment to the multiple title winners.
McLaren and Mastercard only formally agreed a multi-year arrangement as recent as July 2024, with the brand eager to develop the agreement beyond a standard sponsorship model into avenues to reward their customers and attract F1’s ever-expanding following.
With the naming partnership, Mastercard indicates it will introduce a ‘Team Priceless’ initiative which would permit followers of the outfit of Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri to gain admittance to behind-the-scenes opportunities, such as track driving experiences, and opportunities to meet with the racers.

“There is no one more crucial to us than our magnificent following, therefore I couldn’t be more pleased to enter this following phase in our arrangement with Mastercard with a commitment to our worldwide papaya family: that we will persist in prioritizing our supporters, bring them closer to the outfit, and provide incredible moments,” confirmed McLaren CEO Zak Brown.
“Mastercard is a superb associate who shares our enthusiasm and principles, therefore to have them involved as naming partner will present us the ideal starting point to persist in pushing on both on and off track – and I cannot wait to observe Team Priceless become a reality in 2026.”
Mastercard’s chief marketing and communication officer Raja Rajamannar expressed: “Our arrangement has been established on positioning followers in pole position from day one, and becoming the Official Naming Partner of the McLaren Formula 1 Team takes that dedication up a level. McLaren Racing represents the summit of innovation, accuracy, and performance, standards that mirror our personal as we push boundaries and deliver triumphant experiences. Collaborations such as Team Priceless echo those standards and provide enthusiasts plenty to anticipate for this campaign and further into the future.”
The new Mastercard agreement signifies McLaren will receive its first official corporate title sponsor since 2013, when it last competed as Vodafone McLaren Mercedes, despite the fact that it also participated as McLaren – Honda from 2015 to 2017.
