Men’s AP Top 25 Basketball Breakdown

Both Arizona and Miami (OH) maintain their undefeated streaks as the latest AP Top 25 rankings are unveiled this week. Only four teams managed to retain their exact positions in the poll.

For the third consecutive week, the Wildcats hold the undisputed top position. Michigan now occupies the second spot, having swapped places with UConn. The Big Ten conference continues to feature two squads within the top five, as Illinois takes Nebraska’s place among the elite after the latter experienced consecutive losses over the preceding week. Nevertheless, the Cornhuskers manage to stay within the top ten, moving down by just four positions.

The most significant ascent within the poll was achieved by the Fighting Illini, who climbed four positions. Kansas, Vanderbilt, and St. John’s each advanced by three places. Miami (OH) secured a one-spot improvement, and Saint Louis, another mid-major contender, improved its standing by two.

Arkansas experienced the steepest decline in the rankings, falling by six spots. Alabama was completely removed from the Top 25, allowing Tennessee to rejoin the list. Other teams that saw their rankings decrease include Louisville and the previously mentioned Cornhuskers (four places), in addition to BYU and Michigan State (three spots each).

Presented below are the complete Top 25 standings, detailing each team’s upcoming schedule for the current week.
