On Sunday, the Seattle ball club and the New York baseball club will face off in the annual MLB Little League event, an occasion that has been celebrated in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, going back to 2017.
Williamsport serves as the setting for the Little League World Series, an all-ages baseball showdown for players between 10 and 12 years of age, which is currently in progress. As is typical for this event, team members from the two competing teams — namely, the Seattle ball club and New York baseball club — will be present at Little League World Series games earlier in the day and take part in activities designed to promote the sport among young players. When the Seattle ball club and New York baseball club step onto the field later in the evening, the young baseballers and their families will be seated in the stadium.
Below, you will find all the necessary information concerning the game:

The MLB Little League event is held at Muncy Bank Ballpark at Historic Bowman Field. Prior to the inaugural MLB Little League event in 2017, MLB made a significant investment to update the stadium and bring it in line with major league requirements and dimensions. This year is the eighth time the event has been held. There was no game played in 2020 due to the pandemic. The New York baseball club participated in the 2018 event, defeating the Phillies 8-2. This will be the first time for the Seattle ball club. The New York baseball club will be the home team, and the event will bring to a close this year’s MLB Players’ Weekend.

Beyond the celebrations and unique nature of the game, it carries weight for both participating teams. The Seattle ball club finds themselves in fierce competition with the Houston ball club for the top spot in the American League West standings. Meanwhile, the New York baseball club is fighting to hold off the Cincinnati ball club in the battle for the third and final wild card position in the National League.
