Following the conclusion of the Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix, Red Bull’s pilot Max Verstappen, Ferrari racer Charles Leclerc, and Mercedes competitor George Russell have each been called before the race officials.
Kimi Antonelli, representing Mercedes, secured his third successive grand prix victory by overcoming McLaren’s Lando Norris, thereby extending his championship advantage over Russell to a total of 20 points.
Subsequent to the top two finishers and Oscar Piastri in third, an exciting contest for the fourth position unfolded among drivers such as Verstappen, Russell, and Leclerc, a battle from which Russell ultimately emerged victorious.
Nevertheless, these three individuals are obligated to appear before the stewards concerning several possible rule violations that might still modify the race outcome.
Verstappen is required to report to the officials due to an incident where he crossed the pit lane exit boundary following his sole pit stop. Should a five-second time penalty be applied, the Red Bull competitor would fall to sixth place, behind Leclerc.

Additionally, Leclerc is facing scrutiny for two separate issues: departing the racing surface and subsequently gaining an unfair benefit, and for operating his vehicle in what could be deemed an unsafe state after he narrowly escaped a severe crash from a frightening spin at Turn 3 during the concluding lap. Though he managed to avert a major collision after losing command of his Ferrari, he did make contact with the barrier upon exiting the corner, seemingly harming his front-left steering component.
The driver from Monaco proceeded to bypass multiple turns as his position dropped to sixth, trailing Russell and Verstappen. Furthermore, Leclerc is set to be examined for making contact with Russell at the Turn 17 hairpin.
Lastly, Russell’s actions are under review for engaging in contact with Verstappen during their last-lap contest, an incident where the Red Bull driver stated: “I believe he struck my tire” as he endeavored to maintain performance on aged hard tires.
