Micah Parsons Removes Cowboys From Social Media Amid Contract Speculation.

Those following the Dallas Cowboys and hoping for a quiet resolution concerning Micah Parsons may want to avoid checking their social media feeds. It appears Parsons has removed any mention of the Cowboys from his profiles and shared a puzzling TikTok video, potentially hinting at a future away from Dallas.

On Thursday evening, observant social media users noticed that Parsons’ X and Instagram biographies no longer included any reference to the Cowboys. Instead, Parsons updated his bios with “TBD,” which could suggest uncertainty about the team he will be playing for in the future.

Parsons also posted this:

If all of this wasn’t already a significant indication, Parsons also shared a TikTok video featuring Allen Iverson’s comments on trade speculation, accompanied by images of himself blowing a kiss to the audience.

“I’m going to be successful wherever I end up,” Iverson says in the video clip. “Regardless of where I am, I’m going to come out on top. It doesn’t matter which team I’m on, I’m going to achieve success. I’m going to win no matter what.”

It might not be accidental that Parsons’ social media activity occurred soon after team owner Jerry Jones spoke further on the ongoing negotiations with the three-time All-Pro. During an interview with Cowboys icon Michael Irvin, Jones claimed that Parsons’ agent, David Mulugheta, rejected a proposal that Parsons had previously approved.

“When we were prepared to present the details to the agent, the agent responded with a disrespectful refusal,” Jones stated.

In a separate discussion, Jones characterized the situation involving Parsons as a “team issue,” indicating that offering the defensive end a substantial contract could impede the team’s ability to strengthen the roster in other areas.

“Micah is an exceptional player, far beyond just good; he’s truly outstanding. He understands better than anyone that success depends on the entire team,” Jones explained. “I know everyone is tired of hearing this, but it’s essential to assemble the pieces in such a way that others can contribute alongside Micah. That’s the art of negotiation, and that’s what we’re working to achieve, ensuring everything aligns. We deeply value what he brings to the table for the years ahead. We’re proud to have him.”

From an outside point of view, the two parties seem to be drifting further apart with each passing day, and the window for reaching a new agreement before the season commences is closing. The Cowboys are set to begin their season on Sept. 4 against the Philadelphia Eagles, and it remains to be seen if Parsons will be part of the lineup.
