Micah Parsons responds to Falcons trade suggestion with ‘Call me’ gesture.

The circumstance surrounding Micah Parsons will continuously hover over the Dallas Cowboys until the celebrated athlete either signs a formal agreement or seeks opportunities elsewhere.

Prior to the Cowboys’ concluding preseason contest against the Atlanta Falcons this Friday, Parsons was observed passing by a tour group at AT&T Stadium en route to the changing rooms. A member of the tour, identified as a Falcons supporter, exclaimed, “Join the Falcons!” towards him.

Parsons responded with a “reach out to me” signal while holding some nachos, as he walked by. This portrays the present state of the Cowboys in 2025.

Parsons conveyed his wish for a transaction on August 1 and has remained absent from practice sessions ever since training camp commenced, purportedly due to a back ailment. Conversations between his representatives and the Cowboys have deteriorated over the preceding months, possibly reaching their lowest point in the past day.

While Parsons has largely maintained silence regarding the matter, team proprietor Jerry Jones has frequently expressed his opinions on what he believes the team’s premier defensive player should undertake. On Friday, he singled out Parsons’ agent, David Mulugheta, as the issue, suggesting that a highly influential agent in the league had dismissed a verbal agreement between the owner and the player (who is entitled to representation and to heed his agent’s counsel).

Jones reiterated his viewpoint the subsequent morning, voicing his discontent with the notion of someone advocating on a player’s behalf. He has also dismissed any likelihood of trading Parsons and has cautioned about utilizing the franchise designation twice once his initial agreement concludes this year, thereby keeping the celebrated athlete connected to Dallas for an additional three years.

This demeanor does not appear to be ingratiating him to Parsons, who has since eliminated any mentions of the Cowboys from his social media profiles and content on TikTok and X. Presently, Parsons is entertaining a trade proposal within the Cowboys’ own venue.

At issue is an agreement that is expected to be the highest for any non-quarterback in the NFL’s history. Jones stated he presented him with more assured capital than any defender, although that might have occurred in March when the highest was Nick Bosa’s sum of $88 million from the San Francisco 49ers. The latest record is T.J. Watt’s amount of $108 million, agreed to in the prior month.

Given that he has four Pro Bowl nominations within his initial four seasons and is still just 26, it’s understandable that Parsons desires something considerable.
